Wine - Making Process: Chardonnay ferments in small wooden barrels where it ages for ten months on the yeasts.
Ageing: The wine can be sold after a few years of ageing in bottles and magnums.
Features: The wine has a nice straw yellow colour, bright and rich, an ample bouquet and great aromatic potential with notes of green almonds, mango and blonde tobacco. In the mouth, where the wood is slightly yet distinctively perceptible, it is powerful with a great potential yet balanced and not too warm thanks to its acidic tone that improves its remarkable longevity. It originated over twenty years ago to prove that growing white grapes in the land of the great red wines results in great whites. Alteserre is an excellent, elegant and impeccable wine; like great wines, its finesse improves as time passes.
Today Alteserre is a consolidated success and continues to be sold only after a few years of ageing in bottles and magnums; several vintages are available, in magnum bottles as well, for vertical tastings, similarly to a Barolo or Barbera Superiore.
