Description
Grape Varieties: Syrah 50%, Cinsault 30% & Mourvèdre 20%
Vineyard:
The grapes come from the northwest part of the unified and organic vineyard of the Porto Carras Estate, on the slopes of Mount Meliton.
Environment:
The soil is shale, sandy and of moderate fertility. The entire vineyard is non-irrigated and tilts around 40%, ensuring excellent drainage. The vines spread over the steep slopes on terraces. The wooded areas formed around them, create natural barriers and help maintain moisture in the summer months when temperatures are particularly high.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Color: rosey with pomegranate highlights.
Nose: strawberry, mango, violet, helmet, candy.
Palate: strawberry, peach, mango, melon, minerals, chocolate.
General impression: It is a wine that expresses its “terroir”, balanced, with volume, intensity, grease, acidity and a few tannins.
Dining recommendations:
It is a wine for every season that is enjoyed every hour as an aperitif.
It also combines tastefully with classic dishes from the East and the Mediterranean, from traditional Greek cuisine to spicy and exotic flavors. Mushrooms, prosciutto, roasted vegetables, salmon, shrimp, chicken, mango sauce, pineapple or soy, tomato, basil, mozzarella, gorgonzola, haloumi, soft cheeses.
