Braeval 18yo 2001 Bottling Note
18 year old single malt from the Braeval Distillery, which has been independently bottled as part of the Old Particular range by Douglas Laing. This one began life back in May 2001, where it was filled into a single sherry butt and left to age. In November 2019, the whisky was bottled up, producing just 292 bottles.
Tasting Note t
Nose: Softly charred oak and toasted barley, balanced by waves of fresh orange and gingerbread.
Palate: Slightly floral on the palate with rose and lavender. Toffee and chocolate sweetness, plus some cinnamon heat.
Finish: Vanilla, black pepper, raisin and honey.
