GRAPPA DI BAROLO
Grappa made from Nebbiolo marc.
Beni di Batasiolo is one of the best producers in Piedmont, and is run by the energetic and charismatic Dogliani family. The property is located in the center of the Barolo district, and consists of nine “beni” i.e. vineyards with associated vineyards, which guarantees high diversity. The vineyards cover a total area of more than 100 hectares in the best areas.
In addition to the fantastic Barolo wines from Piedmont’s “great vineyards”: Briccolina, Boscareto and Cerequio, Batasiolo produces a wide range of other great wines: Barbaresco, Barbera d’Asti, Moscato d’Asti, and others.
Production:
The fresh, pre-fermented marc reaches the distillery. Distillation starts and the product is stored in stainless steel vats before bottling.
Ageing:
Refined in stainless steel vats for maximising aromas and scents.
Tasting notes: It has a light colour. The bouquet is full with notes ranging from flowery to fruity. A harmonious taste, full-bodied, imposing and very intense. Lingering finish.
