Bottled in 2016, the Delamain Vintage 1986 Grande Champagne Cognac was produced in a limited run of only 660 bottles.  The house of Delamain are dedicated to producing only tiny quantities of their vintages – and this one from Grande Champagne began life in the harvest of 1986.  Many, many years later, it becomes available to you – after decades of careful aging.

The house of Delamain proposes small batches of Vintage Cognacs. These are exceptional Cognacs with unique characteristics that evolved not only according to their soils of origin and their years but also according to the conditions of ageing. Delamain has dedicated one of its best cellars to the exclusive breeding of these cognacs.

These Cognacs, available in very limited quantity, are references in terms of age and quality; they are dedicated to true connoiseurs who seek the unique distinction of wonderful and old Grande Champagne.  The exceptional quantity of these old Cognacs, is guaranteed by the signature of the House Delamain. 

Before bottling, all of Delamain’s eaux-de-vie lay waiting in their humid cellars on the banks of the River Charente. Each cask is exclusively crafted from aged French oak, allowing the closely-packed fibres of the wood to limit the influx of tannins. In turn, this helps to preserve the fruity flavours and more subtle nuances of the Cognac, but it also requires a longer maturing process. To reduce their Cognac to bottle strength, Delamain utilize the faibles – older, lower-strength Cognacs – rather than water, ensuring that nothing dilutes the flavor which time has created.

The Delamain Vintage 1986 Grande Champagne Cognac comes in a stylish, tall bottle with a deep punt, slim neck and silver foil.
